A chartered quantity surveyor with vast experience in the Nigerian construction industry, he has advisory responsibility for the social infrastructure sector. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors United Kingdom, member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and a member of the Construction Industry Computer Association, United Kingdom.

Deacon Adetola is also the immediate Past Chief Examiner of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, the current Second Vice President of the Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors and Managing Partner FO.AB Partnership (Chartered Quantity Surveyors & Development Cost Strategists). He is married to Eni and they are blessed with three children.
