Pastor Taiwo Odukoya is a Petroleum Engineering graduate of the University of Ibadan. As a child he was influenced greatly by his upbringing in a Christian home and gave his heart to the Lord at a very tender age. He however rededicated his life in 1980 while in his final year in university. After graduation he joined The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), and served at different times as the vice-chairman and chairman of various groups, including the Men’s Fellowship and the Word Ambassadors.

Pastor Taiwo, as he is popularly called, was on the executive of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship (Lagos Chapter) between 1985 and 1987. In 1987 he was seconded from TREM to assist a young ministry. He served as the Director of Pastoral Care unit of the new church and helped nurture it to great heights before returning to TREM in 1989. By 1991 the call of God on his life was so obvious that he was released officially by TREM to start his own ministry.

Pastor Taiwo is the Founder and Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos. From a membership of less than 20 in 1992 when the church started, it has grown to a congregation of over 8,000 at the headquarters in Lagos, consisting of people from diverse cultural backgrounds. The church has branches in and outside Lagos .

His vision is to build the nation, by building the family, and equip the saints for life and ministry. He recognises that without the family there will be no nation, hence the emphasis on the home. His messages therefore challenge every Christian - the husband/father, the wife/mother and the child, to rise up to the call of God to raise His standard in the home. He inspires the entire congregation of The Fountain of Life Church and his numerous admirers to strive for excellence, especially in family relationships and the workplace. Any wonder scores of young ministers submit to him for mentoring and necessary guidance in ministry.

He also has a specific ministry to men, and is the president of Discovery for Men, a ministry with the mandate to stir men up to take their God-ordained leadership position in life. He features regularly in some national newspapers and several radio stations across the country with the Discovery message. This is in addition to the outreach programmes held regularly in different parts of the country, which attract men in their thousands. He is a much-sought-after speaker especially at men’s programmes.

Pastor Taiwo is the President of the Boards of Trustees of the Grace Springs Bible College and Grace Springs Medical Centre both in Lagos . He has authored a book and three mini-books. He is happily married and they are blessed with children.
